The Bible is God’s divine revelation of His will for mankind.
The Scriptures, both the Old and New Testaments were
penned as the writers were inspired by the Holy Spirit. The
Scriptures are authored by God Himself and are without error.
They are the only authority in all matters of faith and life. The
Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments must be
understood as a whole in light of each other. Scripture is the
only authority for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for
training in righteousness, enabling the man of God to be
competent and equipped for every good work. The written word
testifies and points us to the living Word-Jesus Christ.
There is one land only living God existing in three persons:
Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each is equally God whose
attributes and eternal and unchangeable. God created the world
by His powerful Word. He rules all things by His providence
and wisdom.
Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of the Father. He is
the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. He is
fully God and fully man. He was conceived of the Holy Spirit
and born of a virgin. He led a sinless life though tempted in all
counts as we. He worked various miracles for the physical and
mental/emotional well-being of their recipients to God’s glory.
He suffered, died on a cross, and was buried. After three days
He rose in bodily form. He ascended into heaven and sits at the
right hand of the Father. He will return to judge the living and
the dead.
The person of the Holy Spirit is God. He convicts the world
of sin, regenerates, indwells, and seals the believer. Jesus calls the
Holy Spirit the “Helper” who leads believers into all truth.
(John14:26)
Man was made to glorify and enjoy our Creator. However,
because of sin man has lost fellowship with God, being made
subject to death with all its miseries- spiritual, temporal, and
eternal. Having no righteousness of our own we are utterly
without hope to obtain right standing with God. But it pleased
Him to reconcile all things to Himself, through the blood of
Jesus Christ. This salvation is by grace alone through faith; it is
the gift of God. If anyone is in Christ he is a new creation. The
believer is indwelt with the Holy Spirit who sanctifies and enables
the believer to live a holy life.
There is one church made up of believers from all places and in all
times. The church-or body of Christ-is the primary means by
which God’s kingdom grows and is strengthened. As members
of the one body, believers are to exhort one another evermore
as the day which Christ appears is soon at hand.
God has appointed a day, the exact date unknown to any man,
when He will judge the world through Jesus Christ. Those
found in Him will enter a conscience eternity of blessedness in
communion with God. Those who are judged will enter an
eternal punishment.
“He who testifies to these things says, ‘Surely I am coming
soon.’ Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!” - Revelation 22:20
