Before you begin "Fit for Life" read on...

Lasting change usually happens when small,
consistent changes become habit.  Do not look for
overnight transformation (though to God be the
glory if it happens for you that way!).  This
devotional is meant to give you small, daily morsels
for you to slowly ingest.  Do not rush through.
Allow the Holy Spirit to do His work in you.  It
may even seem that it takes awhile to "get to the
issue".  For many of us this is not our first attempt
to lose weight.  The first few weeks of this study
are about giving yourself a clean slate; forgetting
those things that are past and looking forward.
Hopefully, you will gain insight as the intent of
the author is to make you to think generally and
specifically concerning your individual lifestyle and
heart attitude.

"Fit for Life" contains a weekly Introduction
Page that includes a memory verse.  Make those
scriptures yours.  You will be asked to write them
in each daily devotion.  Meditate on them. Speak
them aloud.  Hearing yourself say the words will
affirm and cement them into your soul.

Each of the five daily devotions are centered on
a scripture with questions for insight.  I cannot
stress enough the benefit of prayer and journaling
after each.  On the sixth day take time to reflect on
the week.  Leaf through and peruse the devotions
along with your answers.  Day Six offers you time
to be thankful for the past week and look forward
to the upcoming one.  The seventh day of your
week rest and put into practice that which you
have learned.

Embark on this quest with courage, hope, and
expectation.  The Lord will meet you!
